Warehouse Mobile Data Module

The Warehouse Mobile Data Module (WMDM) provides warehouse employees with full access to NAV warehouse data and capabilities through both barcode and manual interfaces. The WMDM is built with the latest Windows Mobile and .Net technology to help ensure a usable and user-friendly data management interface on the mobile device.

The Warehouse Mobile Data Module provides access to most NAV warehouse functions:

  • Inventory Inquiry: users scan (or enter) the item number to retrieve inventory information for it, including bins, quantities, serial numbers, etc.
  • Warehouse picks: users scan (or enter) the bin and item for the “take” action, and the WMDM will optionally “auto-place” the item.
  • Warehouse put-aways: put-aways can be automatically created for an item or PO by scanning or entering the item number and/or purchase order number.
  • Warehouse moves: tracks both the take and place for warehouse movements.
  • Warehouse shipments: allows entering or scanning of items for warehouse shipments, including serialized items (even if warehouse item tracking is not used). The pick application can optionally “pick for shipment”, which allows users to pick items directly to a warehouse shipment.
  • Warehouse receipts: can auto-create warehouse receipts on entry or scanning of purchase order number, or can receive to an existing receipt.
  • Non-warehouse shipping and receiving: supports shipping and receiving to non-warehouse locations. Very useful for companies with a central warehouse and branch locations that do not use the full NAV warehouse functionality.
  • Consumption: allows users to scan items to their own consumption journal for specific production orders and serial numbers, capturing any lot or serial number information for the consumed item.
  • Inventory Count: optionally integrates with the Inventory Count Module to streamline inventory counting.
  • Offline processing: provides the ability to log all activities offline and synchronize with NAV at a later time. Useful for scanning in yards and remote locations where no wireless connectivity exists.

NAV Safety Log Book

The Safety Logbook module allows organizations to electronically log all HSE-related information, including incidents, near misses, injuries, meeting minutes, certifications, and more. The logbook ensures compliance with the reporting requirements of regulatory bodies, ISO, etc.

The Logbook provides detailed reporting and a KPI Dashboard view for management of all activities.

NAV Physical Inventory

The Physical Inventory Count Module for NAV allows inventory managers to easily manage complete or partial physical inventory and WIP inventory counts. It allows users to identify items to count, generate count sheets, and enter the physical count into NAV.
The Count Module supplements the base NAV physical inventory capabilities to allow for quicker data entry, easier reconciliation, and simplified posting.

Primary features and benefits include:

  • Flexible count sheet generation: create count sheets that represent how you want to count inventory, such as sheets for specific count teams, locations, product types, etc. Easily define sheets for cycle counting or partial warehouse counts.
  • Multi-user count entry: speed up data entry by allowing multiple users to enter count data simultaneously. Provides visual indicators of incorrect counts or data entry. Easily add additional items that were not on the original count sheets.
  • Integration with inventory barcodes: the Count Module is integrated with the Mobile Data Module, and also provides a simple interface for integration with any other external data collection system. Leverage your investment in your data collection system for inventory counts.
  • Simplified WIP counting: accurately capture consumed and unconsumed WIP – the count module automatically reconciles WIP with inventory and production order consumption.
  • Powerful reconciliation reports: speed up inventory difference reconciliation and accuracy with powerful reporting that evaluates differences by amount or quantity, and provides full count details to quickly locate count errors.
  • Enhanced journal test report: ensure journal entries will post the first time by using the much more comprehensive Count Module Journal Test Report. The report evaluates all data that may prevent posting, including item tracking, and can provide a list of only lines that will not post.

NAV Enhanced Planning Pack

The Enhanced Planning Pack includes enhancements to the standard NAV planning tools to streamline planning tasks. This is the single biggest enhancement you can provide to improve your planning.

The Planning Pack includes:

  • Enhanced Planning Worksheet: provides a “dashboard” view of all planning-related information to enable better-informed decision making, and allowing for easier viewing and management of planning information.
  • Item End-of-life Management: automatically uses up existing obsolete inventory before planning for replacement inventory
  • Enhanced Subcontract Worksheet: allows purchasers to manage repetitive subcontract instructions globally to eliminate redundant data entry. Allows users to automatically copy document links from the routing or item to the purchase order in NAV 2009.
  • BOM Management: the BOM management functionality includes:
    • Interactive, hierarchical multi-level bill form for analyzing structure, availability, and costing of BOMs
    • Low-level coding by exception to eliminate long delays with dynamic low-level coding.
    • Automated component selection based on variant code of top-level item. This allows you to create a master BOM with optional items that are only included on production orders based on the variant of the item being manufactured.

NAV Warranty Management

Warranty departments need the ability to manage warranty claims in way that will provide accurate and consistent reporting of warranty costs and other metrics.
The standard NAV functionality provides the individual components required to manage warranty transactions, but does not tie them together in any way. This results in inconsistent entry and the inability to properly track and report on warranty claims.

The Warranty Module allows users to create a “Warranty Claim” document. This claim document serves as a container for all other documents/entities related to this warranty claim, such as return orders, purchase orders, sales orders, credit memos, and production orders.

The user is able to create all of these related documents from the main warranty claim document. This ensures that all information is consistent across all documents and transactions.
